
The fast bowler Shaun Tait will miss Australia limited overs matches in India this month and at home against Sri Lanka in November after undergoing surgery on his right elbow. Tait should be out of action until at least early December, leaving as his World Cup hopes into doubt the team will be announced later this month. "Shaun Tait has undergone corrective surgery of the elbow this afternoon on a complaint of chronic elbow and his return to cricket will be determined by the speed of his recovery from surgery," Cricket Australia doctor Trefor James said. "He does is not expected to be able to play in the next two months. "Tait has been in and out side of Australia a day in recent years, but he made a comeback during series against England in June, it was an important man in the victory of the 2007 World Cup in the Caribbean, where he finished equal second on the fence line.
